Construction workers are employed by companies that are hired by builders. Basically someone designs, or hires someone to design, a new building, whether it be an office building, a condo, or a housing division. The builder who is paying for the construction of the building hires various companies to do the work. One company may build the structure, based on the architects blue prints, another may be hired to install the electrical and communications systems in the building. Yet another may install a security system.
